Dear Terraces families and friends-

Another week has passed and here we are, another week being COVID-free. As you know, our staff works extremely hard to keep your loved ones (and themselves) safe. We employ our electrostatic fogger, sanitization protocols that require hourly cleaning of all surfaces, furniture and common areas. Food delivery carts that are sanitized before and after every meal. It’s been a lot of work, but it has paid off so far. As I’ve reported previously, our residents have learned to adapt in amazing and creative ways. Family visits and the restarting of group activities has been a boon to resident morale. We seem to be in a very good groove here and I want to thank you for your understanding and patience as contact with your loved ones has been so fraught with challenges. I just want to remind you that we have iPads in house, so if you want to speak with your loved one, outside of scheduled in person visits, you can arrange a FaceTime or Zoom call with the front desk.

The really exciting news this week is that our Friday Happy Hours with live entertainment have commenced again! The entertainers will be outside on the dining terrace, with residents arrayed through open doors in the lobby and dining room, socially distanced, of course. Today’s entertainment was a sight for sore eyes and ears. Akira has concerts scheduled every Friday for the rest of the month and for the foreseeable future. You can see video of today’s entertainment on our Facebook page.

Until next week,

Sam Baum
