Dear Terraces families and friends-
First of all, I want to remind you that our driver, Sammie, is out on vacation until July 30th.  For medical or other appointments, please be prepared to make arrangements for your loved ones. If you find yourself in an impossible spot, call me and I will see what I can do, but I can’t make any guarantees. Sammie works very hard and is an integral part of the Terraces family and I think we can all agree that this is a well-deserved vacation, but we do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
We’re excited to announce that we’re holding our annual Luau on August 19. Ed has planned a fabulous Hawaiian-themed menu and, as always, there will be live entertainment and fun for all. There is no limit to the number of guests, and we ask that you or your loved one RSVP with the front desk no later than August 10.  There is a $25 charge for guests, and it’s free for children under the age of 12.As most of you know, National Assisted Living Week takes place in September and we always make a big deal of it, with multiple special activities and events for your loved ones. It’s also a time to honor the heroes who provide your loved ones’ care, clean their apartments, prepare and serve their meals, run activities, help all of us at the front desk and fix things when they’re broken.

As part of Assisted Living week this year, we’d like to do a vintage car show, but we’re finding it to be prohibitively expensive . Do you or any of your family or friends have a vintage car(s) they’d like to show off? We have other ideas in the hopper, but I wanted to explore the car idea as an option.
