IMPORTANT COVID UPDATE

by

Dear Terraces families and friends-
I’m sorry to report that this week’s testing revealed two positive employees in Assisted Living and one positive resident in Safe Haven.

Only Safe Haven residents and families will be impacted by the results. Yessie will reach out to you individually to let you know how this effects visitation over the next week or so.

However, I will use this news as an opportunity to remind you that Covid is still with us and it’s important that we remain vigilant in keeping it out of our building. For those of you who were with us through our lockdowns, you know what that was like and I’m sure I speak for all of us when I say that we do not want another one. That would be an awful way to start 2023.

When your loved one leaves the community, whether it’s a doctor’s appointment, going to the store or other place of business, please remind them to wear masks and try maintain six feet of distance from others. If they’re visiting you (or you’re visiting them), please wear masks, wash hands frequently and use hand sanitizer.

I’ve already sent a letter to all residents asking that, if they start to experience any unusual symptoms, that they please bring it to our attention immediately! If any of you start experiencing unusual symptoms—even if you think it’s a cold—please do NOT to visit and get tested immediately!

We want to return to pre-Covid levels of operation—including your being able to eat in the dining room, attend activities, etc.—but every positive case pushes that possibility further and further into the future. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding.

In the meantime, we want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays and a happy, healthy New Year!
