Flourish, our 'Enjoy life every day!' newsletter, is our way of connecting the many communities The Terraces serve - our residents, their families, our advisers and the larger world of assisted-living care. We are always building new connections at The Terraces, strengthening those within our current community and using the advice of residents to improve what we do.
Foremost, we focus on creating an environment of stimulation and are continually searching for new ideas to freshen that environment. We work with EngAGE, the nationally renowned active aging program located in nearby Burbank, to create a curriculum of programs with planned semesters of content that foster involvement and connection among class participants. Spontaneity, of course, is important as well and some of our most popular events are not on the activities schedule - a Sunday drive, for example, or a trip to the movies. We believe in encouraging our residents to shape the activities programming with their desires, then it is up to us to deliver a uniquely inspirational experience.
