Assisted Services
What is Assisted Living?
Assisted living is a special combination of housing, personalized support services, and health care, designed to respond to the individual needs of those who require help with the activities of daily living. Assisted living facilities provide a staff presence around the clock. Staff is comprised of residential assistants and professional managers to assure that residents receive needed and desired services while still being able to live in their own apartments.

How is it Regulated?
Assisted living regulations and licensure vary from state to state. In California, facilities are licensed by the Department of Social Services under Title 22 and are called R.C.F.E.s (Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly). Facilities must also comply with all local building codes and fire regulations.

Care Fees
Each resident receives services according to a customized plan. Our staff emphasizes comfort and safety while providing assistance with a variety of daily living activities, which can include bathing, dressing, and medication management. Our qualified, professional staff is available around the clock. The Director of Health Services is on call 24 hours per day, along with care professionals who are on site and familiar with each resident's health background.

Assisted living services may be selected from an a la carte menu on a monthly or one-time basis. If a resident's needs are complex and continuous, customized care packages within ten levels of care are available. The initial level of assistance needed by a resident is determined at the health assessment done prior to move-in, according to a task-oriented point system. Follow-up health assessments, performed periodically, provide valuable information on progress and achievements and confirm that the current level of assistance is appropriate. Our objective is to encourage individual growth and self-reliance.
